| Sundarban Biosphere Reserve
Sundarban in India is well known biosphere in the world. It spread over West Bengal, in India and Bangladesh. Indian Sundarban (Sundarban in West Bengal) the largest delta in the world, consists of 10,200 sq km of Mangrove Forest.
Sundarban Biosphere Reserve was constituted by Government of India in 1989 and it received the recognition of UNESCO under its Man and Biosphere Programme in November, 2001.
